Jump Rope Buying Guide
Cable Weight
Lighter cables (1.5-2mm) = faster rotation, better for advanced athletes
Heavier cables (2.5-3mm) = better feedback, easier to feel, great for learning
Handle Length
Longer handles (6"+) give more control and easier adjustment. Shorter handles are lighter but harder to grip well.
Bearings
Quality bearings = smooth, fast rotation. Look for sealed ball bearings (not bushings). RPM and Rogue have the best.
Sizing Your Rope
Stand on the rope with one foot. Handles should reach your armpits (beginners) or nipples (advanced).

- • 5'7"-6'0" → 9' cable
- • 6'1"-6'4" → 9'6" cable
